I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw Anne in this Balenciaga Fall 2026 leather look, because why have one overwhelming leather moment in a single press stop when you can have two?

Anne is pushing way too hard here, as she leans into a persona that isn’t a natural extension of her style.

I wasn’t expecting this press tour to be wall-to-wall Valentino Garavani archival looks – just a light touch would have gone a long way – but this cool-girl, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley / Chloë Sevigny-adjacent direction she’s leaning into isn’t landing.

The Balenciaga shoes she wore earlier, feel even more mismatched here, which only adds to the disconnect.

Right now, this press tour is slipping off course, it’s time to abort this direction, and return to tried-and-true.
