The Fashion Trust U.S. Awards are part of Fashion Trust U.S., a nonprofit set up to fund, mentor, and promote emerging American designers, with Zane Li taking home the ready-to-wear award, and Andrea Marron and Josefina Baillères also standing out across accessories and jewellery.

This event also marked the return of Yara Shahidi, who has been absent from the red carpet for quite some time.

The actress wore the Mugler Stardust Aphrodite cream-peach leather sculptural bodysuit and black trousers, which could have benefited from better tailoring, from the Spring 2026 collection.

Before her red carpet hiatus, the actress had leaned into a minimalist route, mostly opting for looks from Ferragamo. This signals a more directional shift – minimalism with an edge.

The look was completed with beige sandals and a matching Mugler shoulder bag, which reads as a daytime piece: the soft, curved silhouette, matte finish, and practical top-handle shape all lean into something you’d carry from meetings to lunch rather than onto a red carpet. It doesn’t have the sharpness or evening edge to match the bodysuit’s sculptural cut and high-impact neckline.
