Demi Moore Wore Gucci To The 2026 Oscars

Demi Moore, like Zoe Saldana, returned to the Oscars spotlight after her 2025 awards season run. She was also a guest presenter on the night, but she did not take the understated route, and nor would we want her to.

The actress returned to her preferred dramatic silhouettes in this custom Gucci creation by Demna. If this had appeared on the Fall 2026 runway, perhaps the reviews would have been less scathing, because this is breathtaking.

The sculpted silhouette is striking, but the real impact comes from the extraordinary featherwork. The bodice is constructed from iridescent green feathers layered to create an almost armour-like texture across the torso before giving way to darker plumes that spill down the skirt and unfurl into a dramatic train. The effect is almost creature-like, as if the gown is alive. It is bold, sculptural and unapologetically theatrical, delivering the kind of visual spectacle that feels right at home in Demi’s red carpet repertoire.

My only note is the hair. This is the kind of gown that really needed an updo, similar to the one she wore while presenting at the Actors Awards. I know we are asking a lot from someone who gives us an updo once a year, if that, but this was the look that truly called for it.
