Catherine, Princess of Wales Wore Edeline Lee To Lambeth Palace
The Prince and Princess of Wales met with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally, at Lambeth Palace in London today.
Brown has been the colour of the week, and Catherine stepped out fully embracing the trend.
On a miserably wet day in London, there was something cosy about these warm hues.
Some might say that the shade of the bespoke Catherine Walker coat is too dark for the Edeline Lee Jete midi dress, but I like how they are not a direct match while still sitting within the same warm family.
Did you notice the small difference from the runway? The white belt we saw on the runway works with the white shoes, but the tonal shift here feels more cohesive on Catherine.
I adore the fabric contrast too. The coat reads structured and matte, while the pebbled dress has movement and softness, which stops the browns from blurring into one block.
Catherine accessorised with a Daniella Draper Gold Keeper’s Heart Trace necklace and Cartier Trinity earrings, with Gianvito Rossi Gianvito chocolate pumps allowing the brown palette to flow cleanly from top to toe.
