Celebrities in Louis Vuitton for the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards

Louis Vuitton dressed nine attendees across womenswear and menswear, with the house demonstrating its ability to move between sculptural experimentation, red carpet glamour, and classic tailoring at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica on Sunday.

A New Gear

Chase Infiniti stepped into a new gear wearing a custom Louis Vuitton yellow crêpe georgette two-piece with a sleeveless draped top and a softly flared skirt. Just 24 hours after her youthful appearance at the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards, this look signalled a decisive shift that operated in a very different register. Yes, some may argue this would have fit seamlessly into a Dune: Part Three press tour wardrobe, but this moment belonged entirely to Chase. Early days into the year, she’s already serving a BDOTY-worthy look.

Revisiting the Silhouette

Nicolas Ghesquière’s fondness for sculptural volume returned via Erin Doherty’s Louis Vuitton pleated satin scuba duchesse gown. The diamond-shaped construction felt like a more refined version of a similar silhouette we’ve seen before on Ariana Grande—executed with far greater success this time. Plus the pleating ensured we avoided the structural dents seen previously. Louis Vuitton High Jewelry, including Pure V earrings and a coordinating ring, completed her look.

When Volume Overreaches

I’m usually a fan of Hannah Einbinder’s custom Louis Vuitton looks, but the taffeta balloon sleeves, with their exaggerated volume, veered closer to theatrical costuming than red carpet elegance, distracting from what could have been a compelling silhouette.

A Familiar Reference

Katherine LaNasa wore a Louis Vuitton red satin duchesse gown, but the draped bow detailing across the bodice immediately recalled Emily Blunt’s Schiaparelli moment at the 2025 Governors Awards. The resemblance was hard to ignore, making it difficult to fully embrace this look.

Colour Authority

Michael B. Jordan continues to lead the charge for colour in men’s red carpet dressing in 2026. His burgundy double-breasted Louis Vuitton suit, paired with a tonal shirt and tie, struck a strong balance between richness and sharp tailoring. It served as a reminder that formal suiting doesn’t have to default to black—and it’s great to see him back in this confident lane more consistently.

Sharp Simplicity

Rhea Seehorn chose a Louis Vuitton black silk crepe gown, with strong shoulders ensuring the look made its mark. The structure prevented the simplicity from fading into the background.

Classic Execution

Joel Edgerton stayed true to timeless red carpet codes in a Louis Vuitton black double-breasted tuxedo. Clean lines and confident tailoring made this an effortless win.

Clean and Direct

Ryan Coogler opted for an all-black Louis Vuitton tuxedo, avoiding contrast details in favour of a streamlined, unfussy approach. The simplicity worked in his favour.

Classic Awards Season Codes

Miles Caton leaned into tradition wearing a classic Louis Vuitton tuxedo styled with a bow tie. It was a straightforward awards-season choice that felt appropriate for the occasion and confident in its restraint.
