Jessie Buckley Wore Dries van Noten To The 2026 Palm Springs International Film Awards
After a late 2025 style pivot that left many of us recalibrating expectations, Jessie Buckley arrived at the Palm Springs International Film Awards with something unexpected.

Honoured with the Vanguard Award alongside Chloé Zhao and Paul Mescal for their work in Hamnet, Jessie stepped onto the red carpet wearing a Dries van Noten Spring 2026 menswear look that immediately shifted expectations.

Given the awards-season build-up, I was braced for more black, more safety, and frankly, more forgettable choices. Instead, this was unexpected in a good way. The sleeveless green-and-ivory patterned top brought Dries’ signature artful restraint into focus.

Yes, the trousers are the sticking point. They should have been hemmed—or swapped entirely—because menswear proportions sometimes don’t translate seamlessly on women. That pooling at the hem distracts more than it should. But stepping back from that detail, I found myself relieved. This is the middle ground I’ve been hoping to see from Jessie.

It doesn’t erase her recent style shift, nor does it fully return her to past favourites. Instead, it suggests she’s opening back up to balance again.
This is a win for me. What do you think?
