Which Ariana Grande ‘Wicked: For Good’ Press Tour Look Was Your Favourite?
Between the storytelling and watching Ariana Grande’s style evolve with each stop, I think it’s safe to say we all enjoyed the Wicked: For Good press tour far more than the first.

Yes, there was still a lot of pink — gowns, bows, roses, butterflies, the full fairytale toolkit — which is exactly what she needed to sell. But the execution this time felt more elevated in a way that made every appearance feel like an event. Ariana and Law Roach weren’t simply dressing Glinda; they were building a visual narrative.

The biggest surprise for me was the Thom Browne gown in Singapore. Nobody had “Thom Browne does soft-focus fairytale ballgown” on their 2025 bingo card. His history with custom gowns leans surreal — a necktie as an avant-garde dress, exaggerated tailoring, cummerbunds for bandeaus — so to see something so sweeping and romantic was a true plot twist.

And when you work with Law Roach, you know you’ll be treated to archive moments. Not because he can’t do modern, but because his grasp of fashion history is unmatched. He pulls from past collections with intention, weaving the original Glinda’s lineage into Ariana’s present-day storytelling. That’s why these looks resonated: they weren’t just pretty dresses, they were chapters.

My favourite? The Thom Browne fairytale, hands down. Then the Givenchy Haute Couture by Alexander McQueen — that portrait of structure and softness — followed by the Robert Wun Couture butterfly look, which felt tailor-made for the Glinda mythology.
The black gowns had their place, and they photographed beautifully, but I’ll always fall hardest for Ariana when she leans into the fantasy.
