Feathered, fabulous, and full of Gucci glamour

One thing I will always admire is how every Gucci creative director instinctively knows how to dress an EGOT. I have goosebumps everywhere — and maybe a small tear in my eye — seeing just how vibrant Viola Davis looks in this custom Gucci blue silk velvet gown. The tonal feather trims speak directly to her love language when it comes to glamour. Her Valentino Haute Couture feathered moment at the 2023 Monster Cannes Film Festival premiere will forever live rent-free in my head, and it looks like that dress now has a roommate, because this look is joining it. The makeup, the hair — she’s serving rich auntie energy in the best possible way. I love this for her, radiating pure joyful extravagance. Thank you, Demna.

Sequins, bows, and effortless chic

Laura Harrier was in tried-and-true form, wearing a black Gucci strapless sequined gown with a softly draped silhouette. If I were her, I’d be slightly worried about how only one side of that bow looks secure, but that takes nothing away from how stunning she looks. Styled with Manolo Blahnik Ninfemu open-toe mules, a Tiffany & Co. pendant featuring an imperial topaz and Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. Bird on a Rock jewels, Laura radiated old-school elegance through a modern lens — minimal effort, maximum payoff.
