Cailee Spaeny attended the Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery screening in London wearing a McQueen Pre-Fall 2025 dress, and this might just be one of my favourite looks from her in quite some time.

The black satin gown with ivory lace trim is pure romance — delicate while evoking the allure of 1930s evening wear with its bias-cut silhouette and vintage lingerie-inspired detailing. It feels like something Jean Harlow might have worn, reimagined through a modern McQueen lens.

Unlike her recent Miu Miu look for the London premiere, and most of her red carpet looks, this design doesn’t overwhelm her petite frame. The tailoring and fabric drape elongate her figure beautifully, striking a perfect balance between softness and strength — hallmarks of McQueen’s best work.
