Celebrities at the ‘Nouvelle Vague’ Deauville American Film Festival Premiere

Chanel didn’t just have Zoey Deutch and Kristen Stewart flying the flag at the Nouvelle Vague premiere during the Deauville American Film Festival—Clémence Poésy, Lyna Khoudri and Ana Girardot all followed suit, making the red carpet feel like a Chanel runway spillover.

A rare playful outing

Clémence Poésy, once the poster girl for luxe boho before her Chanel days, surprised me with a look that felt playful rather than reserved. Dressed in a Chanel Fall 2025 black, white, and grey printed charmeuse high-low dress, she leaned into whimsy more than we usually see from her. Her Chanel choices often slip quietly by, but this one actually made me pay attention.

Cleaner lines, sharper outcome

Lyna Khoudri wore a Chanel Fall 2025 dress we last spotted on Lupita Nyong’o at the Twelfth Night opening. I have to say I prefer this on Lyna. The choice of a collarless blouse worked so much better than the ruffled neckline from both the runway and Lupita’s styling. Without the fuss, the dress looked cleaner, sharper, and more in tune with Lyna’s understated charm.

Ana Girardot kept it streamlined in a black Chanel Pre-Fall 2025 dress with the house’s motif at the neckline. Taiwanese star 9M88 wore it in Venice, and Ana also showed just how effective a one-and-done piece can be. The dress remains a great example of a look that doesn’t require styling gymnastics to land.
