Zoey Deutch Wore Chanel To The ‘Nouvelle Vague’ Deauville American Film Festival Premiere
Zoey Deutch is on a Chanel hot streak, and frankly, I don’t want it to end. Fresh off two knockout looks at Cannes, she carried the same energy to the Deauville American Film Festival, where she was honoured with the Hollywood Rising-Star Award—while also celebrating the premiere of her new film Nouvelle Vague.

Her choice was a Chanel Fall-Winter 2022/23 black bustier gown that reminded me why I love when fashion doesn’t try too hard. On paper, it’s simple. In reality, it’s magnetic.
Yes, the optical geometric embellishments and the belted overskirt with its embroidered bow lifted the gown beyond minimalism, but the magic here wasn’t just in the design. It was in Zoey herself. She has that presence that makes a pared-back gown feel like an event all on its own. It’s the kind of quiet confidence that you can’t fake and it makes Chanel’s craftsmanship feel all the more poetic.

Adding just the right touch of sparkle, Zoey completed her look with Chanel High Jewelry Lune Talisman earrings.
Stylist: Elizabeth Stewart.
