Clemence Poesy In Fendi – ‘A Star Is Born’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Clemence Poesy In Fendi - 'A Star Is Born' Venice Film Festival Premiere

Virtual Reality jury member Clemence Poesy made her third appearance on the red carpet during Venice Film Festival for the premiere of ‘A Star Is Born’ on Friday (August 31) in Italy.

I’m all for individuality and dressing for yourself, but I have been surprisingly underwhelmed by Clemence during this festival.

We all know she can do so much better.

This Fendi Resort 2019 velvet dress is gorgeous. I love the medieval vibe its giving off, but doesn’t fit the occasion for me.

And it’s not just the dress. I mean, would you walk on a red carpet alongside Cate Blanchett with that hair?

Nah.

Clemence Poesy In Chanel Haute Couture – ‘The Favourite’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Clemence Poesy In Chanel Haute Couture - 'The Favourite' Venice Film Festival Premiere

After her very disappointing look at the opening ceremony, Clemence Poesy was back on the red carpet this evening (August 30) for the premiere of ‘The Favourite’ during Venice Film Festival.

Whether you regard this Chanel Fall 2018 Haute Couture look as a safe option or not, the look is far better suited to the French actress’ sartorial style.

There’s a classic and regal feel about this, which allows her beauty to shine through without rely on too many accessories to make this look shine.

Was this a case of much improved, or more of the same?

Clemence Poesy In Erdem – ‘First Man’ Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Clemence Poesy In Erdem - 'First Man' Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Virtual Reality jury member Clemence Poesy attended the opening ceremony and the ‘First Man’ premiere during the 2018 Venice Film Festival this evening (August 29) in Italy.

The actress wore a Erdem Fall 2018 which I’m in two minds about.

On the one hand it’s a beautifully designed dress. So elegant and graceful.

But on the other hand I feel like it’s aging the young French star, as I feel this dress would suit someone more mature.

Thoughts?

Blackkklansman’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

There was no shortage of high octane fashion at the premiere of ‘Blackkklansman’ at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival on Monday evening (May 14). Celebrities joined Damaris LewisLaura Harrier and Naomi Campbell.

Natasha Poly: The pastel purple hue brought an ethereal quality to the unabashed sexiness of her Atelier Versace Spring 2018 dress. It had every sensual element and came to life when in motion. I’m of two minds about removing the front skirt panel as it often seems like it’s in the way.

Winnie Harlow: The vivid green hue of her Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 Haute Couture outfit has such a bewitching quality and looks wonderful with her complexion. Alas, the material is not holding up very well for a couture look. It’s rather wilted.

Kering x Cannes Dinner Red Carpet Roundup

Black appeared to be the favourite colour of the evening at the Kering x Cannes dinner during the 2018 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 13). Celebrities joined Cate BlanchettChloë Sevigny and Kristen Stewart.

Salma Hayek Pinault: She didn’t get the black memo. Instead, she had a captivating moment in custom Gucci. It has a whimsical feel with the lace accents and accessories, but it still has an alluring finish. It would have been just as magical without the necklace.

Li Yuchun: Another one who plays by her own rule book, the singer demonstrated her sartorial skills in Gucci. The cognac trousers were a departure from her typical tailored black, but they offered a fresh take against the prim jacket and collared shirt.

Clemence Poesy In Miu Miu – ‘Genius: Picasso’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Poppy Delevingne has been very active promoting National Geographic’s ‘Genius: Picasso’ in Europe, so Clemence Poesy took over for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere on Friday (April 21).

Clemence tends to wear a lot of Chanel, but on this occasion she opted for a Miu Miu Spring 2018 full look.

At first I wasn’t crazy about the black accessories, but on reflection they inject some balance and life into the look.

Each piece is beautifully detailed: flowers on the sandals and pearls on the bag.

I think what’s really throwing me is the hair and makeup, but Clemence always keeps things light and neutral in these departments.
