When I said I could expected Dwayne Johnson to wear Dolce & Gabbana at Venice Film Festival, I thought that was a safe bet. But instead, turned to Prada—maybe a nod to his leaner frame these days, or maybe just a change of pace.

Photocall: When Linen Meets Reality

White linen trousers always feel like a good idea until you actually put them on. These Prada trousers didn’t stand a chance against those muscular quads and thighs, creasing and the contrast of the pocket bags where inevitable. Yet, despite the fabric’s betrayal, Dwayne still looked good. A Chopard watch completed his look

Premiere: Grey Area

Grey isn’t usually my go-to colour, but Dwayne looked sharp in this double-breasted Prada suit. The fabric has a subtle sheen that elevated it from ordinary, and the cut hung cleanly while keeping its structure. The beige shirt softened it all up, and suddenly I was seeing grey in a whole new way.

Together, both looks showed a side to Dwayne that felt less “action hero-y.”
