Emily Blunt Wore Schiaparelli & Tamara Ralph To ‘The Smashing Machine’ Venice Film Festival Photocall and Premiere

Emily Blunt reunited with her favourite partner-in-crime, Dwayne Johnson, at the Venice Film Festival for The Smashing Machine photocall and premiere. The pair first charmed us together in Jungle Cruise back in 2021.

Photocall: Golden Charm Energy

I guessed wrong on Dwayne—no Dolce & Gabbana this time—but my hunch on Emily was spot on: Schiaparelli, naturally. It’s one of her red-carpet staples, who could forget that 2018 royal blue Haute Couture moment at the Mary Poppins Returns London premiere? I still think about it, often. Even for a photocall, this dress had serious personality, thanks to Schiaparelli’s signature gold charms. You may remember that Phoebe Gates also wore this exact dress to Tiffany & Co.’s 2025 Blue Book: Sea of Wonder launch back in April, and somehow Emily still made it entirely her own.

Premiere: Painted in Pink

And then came the premiere. Emily glided onto the carpet in a Tamara Ralph Fall 2025 Couture gown that looked as though it had been poured onto her. The crystal teardrops caught the light like Venetian glass, and the silhouette was pure fantasy.

I’ll admit I hesitated at first over the lip colour, but up close, the magenta nuance clicked beautifully with her Tiffany & Co. jewels. It’s one of those details that pulls the whole look together in a way you don’t fully appreciate until you zoom in. Utterly spellbinding.
