Rooster feathers and mesmerising textures
Jacob Rott stepped out wearing black flares paired with a Campillo Fall 2025 jacket crafted from rooster feathers. I’m absolutely hypnotised by the explosion of colours and textures on this jacket, which somehow manages to be both wild and refined. The silver brooch-style clasp seals the deal. It’s bold, it’s unexpected, and I can’t stop staring.

Honouring heritage with modern elegance
Daniel Dae Kim embraced his Korean-American roots in a custom Mehee Hanbok that modernises the traditional silhouette of a hanbok beautifully. This was a statement of culture and pride, artfully tailored for a red carpet. Pairing it with sleek Christian Louboutin shoes grounded the look in sophistication while celebrating identity. It’s always beautiful to see such thoughtful cultural representation on a major stage.

Predictably unpredictable
If you know Daveed Diggs, you know he’s never going to settle for a run-of-the-mill tuxedo. His shimmering pale green AMIRI Spring 2025 flared shawl collar suit might technically have a black tie, but this is a whole other level of flair. Only a handful of men—Simon Pegg being one—could pull this off without missing a beat, making it a highlight of the night.

Muted glam from a Broadway newbie
Adam Lambert, fresh off his Broadway debut in Cabaret, was one of the night’s guest presenters. Considering it was his first Tony Awards, the McQueen suit paired with a blue Tom Ford silk shirt and silver Marsèll boots felt a bit muted compared to his usual show-stopping style. The shimmering fabric hinted at his glam roots, but I was hoping for a bit more theatrical flair from the ever-dramatic Adam.
Classic tuxedo elegance always wins
Bryan Cranston reminded us that sometimes, the simplest choices are the best. His dunhill tuxedo was all about quiet confidence and refinement. Small details like the contrasting buttons on his shirt and the pop of a red silk pocket square elevated the classic silhouette with just a touch of personality. It’s a timeless look that never gets old.
Breaking the tuxedo mould with personality
Ephraim Sykes skipped the traditional tux for a Jason Wu Collection Spring 2025 jacket and shorts combo. It’s an unconventional move that felt deeply personal and stylish, a refreshing break from the norm. It’s daring choice made it stand out as a true original on the red carpet.
Burgundy bloom
Jonathan Groff rocked a rich burgundy Thom Browne suit, accented with a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany bird-on-a-rock brooch. While he solved the tricky boot-and-trouser-length issue with cropped pants, I wish he had gone full matchy-matchy all the way to the shoes. Still, the deep hues and bold details make this a memorable look.
McQueen muse
Jordan Roth pulled from the archives, wearing an Alexander McQueen Fall 2010 look from the final Angels and Demons collection. His styling featured a feathered and horsehair mohawk (inspired by the collection), adding a punk edge to an already striking outfit. The Philipp Kern necklace was the perfect complement, adding to the performance art of it all.

Bill & Ted back together again
It was a totally excellent reunion as Keanu Reeves and his Bill & Ted co-star Alex Winter hit the Tony Awards red carpet together. The duo cleaned up nicely in classic tuxedos, with Keanu rocking a sharp look from the Brunello Cucinelli Eveningwear Collection. Party on, gentlemen.
Linen tuxedo that feels like velvet
Broadway actor Tom Francis took a wore a bespoke Todd Snyder deep raisin sueded linen tuxedo. Surprised linen could look this luxe? The three-ply Italian fabric is “sueded,” giving it a soft, peach-like feel that’s less prone to wrinkles. It’s a clever twist on traditional formalwear that managed to feel relaxed yet refined all at once.
