Zhang Linghe is quickly becoming one of the menswear names to watch. The Story of Kunning Palace star—who also snagged a Lead Actor of the Year nomination at the Weibo Awards—attended the Gucci Resort 2026 show at the historic Palazzo Settimanni in Florence, dressed in a look that brought my favourite menswear colour back into the spotlight: brown.

Dressed in a Gucci Fall 2025 ensemble, Zhang embraced a rich, earthy brown palette, but with a twist I didn’t know I needed: steel grey. A cropped leather jacket layered over a grey shirt and tie, paired with darker brown trousers and brown Gucci shoes. It shouldn’t work this well, but it absolutely does—unexpected yet perfectly balanced in the best way. The subtle contrast between the tones brings depth, while the sleek, tailored fit ensures the look never feels too heavy.
