Eva Longoria Wore Tamara Ralph Couture To The ‘Leave One Day’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere
Eva Longoria opened her Cannes Film Festival account at the Leave One Day premiere, and considering how she’s been hitting her stride on the red carpet lately, I was quietly hoping she’d keep the momentum going. Sadly, this Tamara Ralph Spring 2025 Couture gown left me a little deflated.

On paper, rose gold bugle beads and dramatic silhouettes sound like a recipe for red carpet success, and I do love the beaded half of this gown — it’s glimmering, luxurious, and pure Cannes-worthy glamour. But that black velvet corset and oversized bow, and I start to lose the thread. The harsh contrast between the two textures and colours doesn’t work for me — it battles.
I can see the idea behind the exaggerated silhouette: cinch the waist, amp up the drama. But in execution, the velvet feels like it was added from a different gown entirely. I know we’re not fans of the sheer gloves from this collection — but I can’t help wondering if she had worn them, would the conversation be completely different? I don’t know. Perhaps I am clutching at straws here.
Eva’s earned the benefit of the doubt, but this one didn’t quite deliver the fantasy I know she’s capable of.
Pasquale Bruni jewels completed her look.
