Irina Shayk Wore Armani Privé To The ‘Leave One Day’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Of all the people to come out in full support of Cannes’ current no-nudity rule, Irina Shayk would not have been top of my predictions list. After that sheer Gucci moment from the 2023 festival, it’s safe to say we had her pegged as the poster girl for sheer rebellion.

But here we are, at the Leave One Day premiere and opening ceremony, and she’s giving us a surprisingly demure twist in this polka dot Armani Privé Fall 2019 gown.

Strapless, sweet, and complete with a giant bow at the back, this look marks a total reset for Irina. And dare I say it, the daintiest we’ve ever seen her? There’s a softness and charm here that we don’t usually associate with her red carpet MO, but it works—and I’m into it.

Yes, this gown is on its third red carpet outing—previously worn by Adria Arjona in 2019 and Levante at the 2021 Venice Film Festival—but Irina still manages to bring a freshness to it. The old Irina was all about heat. This new Irina? She’s giving poise with a side of polka dots.

Unexpected, but very welcome.
