Tyla Wore Jacquemus To The 2025 Met Gala
When it was announced that Tyla would make her Met Gala debut with none other than Law Roach at the styling helm, the pressure was immediately on. This is the man who turns every Zendaya appearance into a cultural moment—so expectations were understandably sky-high. But rather than trying to replicate that formula, Law and Tyla cooked up something uniquely hers.

Gone are the sultry, skin-baring, 90s supermodel cut-out dresses Tyla’s been rotating. In their place? A look with depth, nuance, and a whole lot of storytelling. Tyla’s custom Jacquemus ensemble featured a delicately tailored dress layered under an oversized men’s shirt—a deliberate homage to André Leon Talley.

Both the dress and shirt were finely pinstriped, catching the light thanks to sequined threads and transparent crystals. The magic was in the “undone” nature of the design—raw embroidery edges and asymmetry that added a lived-in glamour. The kind of chic chaos that takes effort to look effortless.
I did pause at first, wondering if the crumpled texture was intentional—and the answer I believe is yes, as the suits the raw narrative. It feels like the kind of quiet rebellion against red carpet perfection that actually ends up standing out.

Pandora jewels wrapped up the look.
