Lewis Hamilton Wore Wales Bonner To The 2025 Met Gala
While some will come to the 2025 Met Gala in swinging capes and theatrics, Lewis Hamilton chose a quieter, more introspective route—and I adored every meaningful inch of it.

Wearing custom Wales Bonner suit with a beret by Stephen Jones that nodded to diasporic style traditions, Lewis looked serene and self-assured in ivory. At first glance, yes, it may seem simple. But when has he ever played the obvious game on this carpet? This was about intentionality. Layers of symbolism wrapped in tailoring that speaks without shouting.
His stylist, Eric McNeal, unpacked the poetry behind the look: ivory as a symbol of purity and power; cowries—tokens of wealth and exchange—woven through the regal sash like cultural breadcrumbs. Then there’s the Briony Raymond brooch, a cluster of ancestral beads, freshwater pearls and garnet-hued diamonds acting as spiritual armour.
This was a tribute, a journey, a meditation on identity. It was thoughtful, refined, and deeply Lewis.
No gimmicks. Just storytelling through the language of fashion. That’s how you honour a theme.
