Ryan Gosling Wore Gucci & Pedro Pascal Wore Loewe To The ‘Star Wars’ Japan Celebration

The Force was strong in Tokyo as Ryan Gosling, Sigourney Weaver, and Pedro Pascal touched down for the Star Wars Celebration, promoting their upcoming roles in new additions to the beloved galaxy far, far away. Before Pedro zipped off to London for the Thunderbolts* premiere, all three stars gave us a dose of character and charisma on the fashion front—with varying degrees of success.

“Never tell me the odds” – but always tell me who made your jacket

Ryan Gosling, who’s set to headline Star Wars: Starfighter (scheduled for release in May 2027), is clearly getting into the spirit of things. Dressed in a green leather jacket from Gucci’s Fall 2024 collection—paired with a classic white tee and trousers—he looked every bit the modern rebel pilot. But it was his cap that truly sealed the deal. Emblazoned with “Never tell me the odds,” one of Han Solo’s most iconic lines from The Empire Strikes Back, Ryan knows how to throw a wink at the fans while staying firmly in relaxed territory. It’s all about the nerdy flex, which I absolutely endorse.

If you’re going to be the galaxy’s matriarch, a burgundy suit is a power move.

Sigourney Weaver is joining The Mandalorian and Grogu (set for release in May 2026) alongside Pedro, and once again served up signature chic in a rich burgundy suit layered over a striped shirt. It’s giving business on Coruscant. It’s giving intergalactic executive realness. I am choosing to ignore the sneakers, not because they don’t bother me, but because the tailoring is too good to get caught up in sole-related grievances. And frankly, she’s Sigourney Weaver—she’s earned the right to comfort.

The Force is strong, but the plaid is stronger

Pedro Pascal’s Acne Studios outfit at the earlier event didn’t exactly thrill, but redemption came quickly via Loewe. Wearing a Pre-Fall 2025 leather biker jacket over a tartan shirt and matching trousers. It’s giving space rogue meets Scottish countryside. My only gripe? The trousers are veering dangerously close to pyjama territory. Fortunately, the jacket pulls the look back from full-on bedtime and plants it firmly in “off-duty space cowboy” territory.

Between the cosplay-ready cap, power suiting, and almost-pyjama plaids, this trio has me excited for their upcoming press tours—even if, with the films not landing until 2026 and 2027, it feels like we’ll need to time travel just to see them.
