Florence Pugh Wore Stella McCartney To The ‘Thunderbolts*’ CinemaCon 2025 Presentation

CinemaCon 2025 came with plenty of surprises, but Marvel’s impromptu Thunderbolts* reveal on day three had fans buzzing—and not just because of the explosive footage. Florence Pugh made her first promotional appearance for the upcoming antihero team-up film (set to release May 2), and all eyes were on her. Naturally.

Now, as someone who has championing red carpet wins for Florence, I’m already in cheerleader mode for this press tour. I have always wanted to see her in edgier labels as I felt that the delicacy of Valentino was never really a great style fit for her. Enter: Stella McCartney.

Known for her sharp, consciously crafted, and effortlessly cool pieces, Stella’s aesthetic feels like a promising match for Florence—edgy but refined, strong but playful. And to be fair, there’s a lot to love here. The bold shoulders? On point. The lace inserts? A little sexy, a little subversive. The white Paris Texas Nadia cowboy boots? Total wildcard, and somehow… it works?

But we have to talk about the elephant in the room: those bra-style pads sitting outside the dress. Why are they there? What do they want? I love a risk, but this one doesn’t quite land for me. The placement is awkward, and honestly, it’s a little unflattering.

Still, Florence is off to a bold start, and if this look is any indication, she’s ready to bring both fashion and fire to the Thunderbolts* rollout. Let’s just hope the next look doesn’t come with its own built-in question mark.
