Michelle Williams Wore Chloé To The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

After charming us on Good Morning America, Michelle Williams made her way to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote Dying For Sex, premiering this Friday on Hulu. But while her words were poetic, her outfit had me raising an eyebrow—or two.

Michelle stepped out in a Chloé Fall 2025 mini ruffled dress, a delicate, romantic piece that exudes effortless femininity. So far, so good. But then we get to the styling, and that’s where things start to unravel.

First up, the vintage gold Chloé Aura necklace. A beautiful statement piece, no doubt, but it feels mismatched with this particular dress. Imagine it paired with a flowing, plunging Chloé gown—it would have worked perfectly. Here, it’s more of a visual interruption than a seamless addition.

Then, there are the Chloé Eve black over-the-knee boots. I adore a luxe leather boot as much as the next fashion enthusiast, but with this breezy spring dress? It’s a contrast that doesn’t quite land. A strappy sandal or even a delicate ankle boot would have made more sense.

A burgundy Chloé Icon halfmoon bag and shades completed the look.

Ultimately, the pieces felt at odds with each other. Individually, they’re great. Together? A bit of a styling identity crisis.

And the biggest question mark? The dress itself feels more suited for a daytime event than a late-night talk show appearance.
