2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards: Menswear Edition
When it comes to Sunday’s 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards menswear looks, there was only one place to start: Andrew Scott.
Remember when I was saying recently that we need to see more footwear colour choice for men?
Apparently Warren Alfie Baker doesn’t have that issue, because he had a pair of Louboutin loafers custom dyed to match Andrew’s custom yellow Etro suit.
And just like that, our footwear problem is solved.
I think you also have to take into consideration that Andrew is willing to explore so many colours than the traditional three – black, grey, navy – so that makes his stylists job more fun and challenging.
You would want an Andrew Scott as a client.

Charles Melton in Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2024 is a bit of a tricky one for me.
I love the silhouette – especially of the trousers, but I’m not 100% sold on the blue double-breasted blazer with the khaki trousers.
Or I’m not sold on Charles in this look, because I can picture the designer, Pharrell Williams, pulling this off in its entirety.
Styled by Samantha McMillen.
Some of you might be thinking. Did Colman Domingo really need that satin overcoat with his Versace tweed suit?
The answer is always yes. The coat amplifies the swag.
An OMEGA timepiece, and Jimmy Choo Foxley loafers completed his look.
Dominic Sessa served up some Saturday night fever in Saint Laurent, which is a label I believe he was born to wear.

I’m obsessed with James Marsden’s Canali blazer. The brown woven chevron blazer ignites my love for heritage pieces.
Santoni shoes and an OMEGA timepiece completed his look.
Styled by Ilaria Urbinati.
A tieless Lewis Pullman. Now there is a rarity.
The actor was also rocking slate grey head-to-toe wearing a Canali suit with matching Louboutin boots.
On any other day, I would say that no one can upstage Sterling K. Brown in his orange Grayscale suit, but Ryan Michelle Bathe did just that in his gold Retrofete strapless dress.
Taylor Zakhar Perez has been wearing a lot of dark colours lately, so I love her opted for a statement colour in Alexander McQueen.
