Angela Bassett attended The Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS held at The Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday (September 21) in California, where NBA Hall of Fame legend, philanthropist and businessman Earvin “Magic” Johnson and philanthropist and entrepreneur Cookie Johnson were honoured.

The actress looked beautiful wearing a Dolce & Gabbana one-shoulder lame jersey gown which was expertly pleated so it would move with an air of undeniable grace.

This gown was made for a gala gathering, as the metallic threads ensured Angela was destined to stand out.

At first, I wondered if this gown was missing an accent around the waist, but considering Angela’s accessories – metallic Dolce box clutch and silver jewels – a belt might have had us evoking Coco Chanel’s “take one thing off” rule.
