Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour Looks Part Five: July 2023

July was a very busy month for Beyonce’s Renaissance world tour if you consider the amount of dates and costume changes, and we still have many more to come in August and September.
Ending the European leg of the tour in Warsaw in June, the entourage crossed the pond to Toronto, where the singer performed two nights at the Rogers Centre.
Beyonce opened the show wearing a custom Fendi honeycomb crystal embroidered lace dress inspired by a look from the Fendi Spring 2021 Couture collection.
The opening looks are what I see as what “could have been” red carpet looks, and like the others, this look didn’t disappoint.
The mood is elegant, yet sultry for the opening act where she performs a medley of her iconic ballads.
Custom Elsa Peretti mesh scarf earrings and Amina Muaddi Ursina pumps completed this look.

Another new look for Toronto was this custom adidas x Ivy Park camo bodysuit, with matching boots and oversized jacket with IVY emblazoned on the back, which took me back to the 2001 Destiny’s Child ‘Survivor’ video.
Loewe shades completed her look.

We have yet more metallic silver armour, robot-inspired bodysuits. This one was made by designer Olivier Rousteing for Balmain.

Beyonce spent one night in Philadelphia but served up three new looks.
Beyonce once said, “I’m so reckless when I rock my Givenchy dress,” and Matthew M. Williams gave her a dress to match those lyrics.
Dressed in this custom Givenchy Haute Couture dress embroidered with micro faceted glass beads, bugles and faceted stones, and glass beads and chainstone loops, I’m sure this looked electrifying under the lights.

This look was styled with The Attico PVC pumps, a Tiffany Soleste® Band ring, Tiffany Victoria® mixed cluster drop earrings and a Tiffany Victoria® bracelet, all in platinum with diamonds.

A new finale look for Philadelphia was a Valentino shimmering silver bodysuit with balloon sleeves and Valentino Garavani boots designed especially for her by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

This look was more captivating as she floated above the stage with the billowing train.

Nashville was next where Beyonce wore a second David Koma look of the tour, which was inspired by the designers Fall 2022 collection.

The first Koma look is one of my favourites of her entire tour wardrobe, and while this red embellished number doesn’t come close, I do like the country elements imbued by the accessories which was perfect for Nashville.

Nashville also gave us two looks which at first glance you might be wondering why I am repeating them.
The first is the Ivy Park pink embellished bodysuit, which shouldn’t be confused by the pink split leg dress she wore in Amsterdam.

And this Alexander McQueen custom bodysuit and boots has the same silver bugle bead and crystal anatomical embroidery as another Alexander McQueen look she wore in Stockholm.

Alexander McQueen cat-eye sunglasses, and a custom Tiffany & Co x Stephen Jones Millinery hat completed her look.
Of the two, I prefer this outing, as it doesn’t appear as heavy, plus a bodysuit with fishnet tights will always be Beyonce’s go-to performance look.

From Nashville, to Louisville, Beyonce’s newest look was a Dsquared² ultra sheer bodysuit with a train, which was dripping in diamonds.

A complementary pair of The Attico Venus pumps completed the look.

This Raisa Vanessa gold paillette sequin top and a coordinating mini skirt was inspired by the Fall 2023 collection.
There are some looks on this tour where I have preferred the runway look, but on this occasion, the custom look proved to be the better option.
Do you agree?

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I love this custom Diesel trompe-l’oeil denim print jumpsuit with integrated boots and gloves.
There is a lot of OTT bling looks on this post, so this toned down look which featured subtle grey crystal embellishment was refreshing.

Diesel Creative Director Glenn Martens took inspiration for this look directly from classic Diesel denim utilizing the brand’s signature second skin jersey with a trompe-l’oeil print to mirror the house staple.

Next stop was Minneapolis, where Beyonce wore this custom Alexander McQueen lace jumpsuit featuring a silver sequinned ‘disco’ horse embroidery.
For me, this is one for her hall of fame from this tour, along with the gold Loewe jumpsuit.

Beyonce embraced Barbiecore wearing a head-to-toe pink Acne Studios look.
At first glance I feel like the metallic coat was one piece too much, but I’m sure it worked out in the context of the show, especially if it was the finale look.

Balmain has been one of Beyonce’s favoured designers on this tour, and each look is completely unique from the last.
On this occasion Olivier Rousteing designed a latex quilted bodysuit featuring the signature pagoda shoulders which she styled with the brimmed top hat and shield sunglasses which almost felt futuristic.

There have been a few robot inspired looks on this tour, but I struggled to get on board with this Marine Serre custom catsuit that showcases the iconic Moon print of the house with a regenerated jewelry bodysuit on top…

…made out of silver cutlery wrapped all around the upper body with “RENAISSANCE” hanging on the front.

The look was styled with Marine Serre ankle boots and a Ruslan Baginskiy hat.

Chicago saw Beyonce rock this custom silver lamé Lanvin leotard and cape during the second act of her show which was inspired by the tour’s intergalactic themes.
The silver leotard features gold signature hardware, which will be a key feature of the house’s forthcoming collections.
I prefer the look without the cape as the bold shoulders kinda through me off the look, even though it brings plenty of drama.

Beyonce wore a second custom Tiffany & Co. Couture look during this tour.
This time the mini dress, in Tiffany blue, was created in partnership with Giles Deacon.
Matching sheer opera gloves and a custom Tiffany & Co. Twisted Collar necklace completed her look.

In Detroit, Beyonce wore a Schiaparelli Haute Couture bustier mini dress embroidered with silver stones and leafy feathers which reminded me of a Schiaparelli Fall 2022 look worn by Tessa Thompson.
Beyonce styled this look with Dolce & Gabbana sandals.

Considering Beyonce was front row at Pharrell Williams’ debut Louis Vuitton show in Paris back in June, I wasn’t surprised to see a look from the label during this tour.
Pharrell Williams designed a custom Louis Vuitton Damier crystal detailed jumpsuit styled with LV shades.

What most wouldn’t have noticed in the crowd, is that the jumpsuit was also accented with bees.

The last show in July was held at the Metlife stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Beyonce opened with another look which I have added to her hall of fame for this tour.
The stunning Georges Hobeika Fall 2023 Couture pink tulle crystals embellished gown is in my top 5 when I eventually put together my favourites list from this tour when it concludes.
Watching videos of this online as the wind blows against the train attached to the opera gloves as she sang ‘Dangerously In Love,’ sent chills down my spine.
I’m so glad she kept the headpiece which was designed with 3D embroidered flowers.
Tiffany & Co. earrings in platinum with diamonds completed this breath-taking look.

The singer continues to push her Ivy Park line with this football jersey inspired oversized top with the same camo boots from earlier in the tour.

Looking like she was dipped in liquid gold, Beyonce wore another Ivy Park dress styled with Alaïa Cabaret sculptural heels which we’ve seen on Anne Hathaway.
It would appear that the hooded dress trend is here to stay.

Beyonce’s Marc Jacobs monochromatic striped gown, which was inspired by the Spring 2013 collection, got an upgrade with Swarovski crystals and custom Tiffany & Co. Drip Intravenous earrings.

The now iconic Loewe handprint bodysuit was also revamped. At the beginning of this tour, she was dripped in gold, this time, silver.

Dressed in a custom Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini degradè Swarovski crystals bodysuit, the sculpted bullet bra provided the talking point, along with her futuristic shades.

An apricot eco-kidassia coat completed the look.

Miu Miu added to the many blinged out looks during this tour, with this tank top denim shorts combo which was styled with custom Christian Louboutin silver fringe thigh high boots, custom Tiffany & Co. x Stephen Jones hat and custom Tiffany HardWear earrings.

Valentino Pink PP made a comeback as Beyonce wore a Valentino sequin coat, bodysuit, boots and Pink PP V-Mask and Philip Treacy feathered headpiece.

The final finale look for July was another custom sequin horse embroidered Alexander McQueen bodysuit which would’ve blended into the silver disco horse had it not been for the bronzed sequins.
