Kerry Washington Wore Sergio Hudson On The View

Kerry Washington was spotted in New York City on Thursday (March 9) ahead of her guest appearance on ‘The View,’ where she continued to promote her new Hulu show ‘UnPrisoned.’

There are two things I love: a good ‘80s inspired moment, and bright coloured tailoring, both of which come together with this skirt suit designed by Sergio Hudson.

I was seated next to the designer yesterday at the Versace Fall 2023 runway show, and I was telling him that no one does a beautiful bold suit quite like he does.

Kerry is very much case in point. Serving up CEO boss vibes in this lime-green and black uber chic look.

The designer told me that he doesn’t mind if someone says that one of his designs are bad, as he would want to know as it helps him grow as a designer, but for me it’s not usually about the design, it’s more likely about how it is tailored to fit, not steamed or styled.

In this case, Kerry’s white satin Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato pumps – which may have been the only pumps she travelled to New York with as she also wore them for her guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ – didn’t quite work with this suit.

For the second time today, I’m going to say black shoes would’ve been a better choice.
