Lily James Wore Atelier Versace To The 2023 Golden Globe Awards

Lily James is clearly still Donatella Versace’s favourite girl.

The British actress, who starred in a Versace ad campaign last year, graced the red carpet at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards wearing an Atelier Versace fire red faille and moiré ball gown.

At first I thought the draped cropped bustier with bands crossing the waist was too small, but I then realised that the cut serves to give her more pronounced lift.

My favourite part of this look is the slightly chaotic nature of the sculptural, maxi-volume overskirt which was clearly inspired by archival Versace designs.

If I was to nit-pick, I wish the pencil skirt had been an inch or two shorter, or maybe some platforms were needed, if she’s not wearing them already.
