Taylor Swift Wore Louis Vuitton For The Toronto Film Festival 'In Conversation With...'

As soon as I turned my laptop off on Friday (September 9), Taylor Swift stepped onto the red carpet for the ‘In Conversation With… Taylor Swift’ during the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, and I had to fight every urge in my body to not press the power button on my laptop.

Especially considering she was wearing Louis Vuitton.

I know a lot of you get nervous when you see a celebrity wearing Louis Vuitton, as this is usually a signal that they are about to, or have signed a contract.

This happened with Ana de Armas, and Gemma Chan who became ambassadors out of the blue, and without any fanfare.

At this point Louis Vuitton has more celebrities on their books than IMDB.

Personally, I don’t see Taylor as an LV girl.

But she could be stepping into a new fashion era for this new album.

Evermore and Folklore were part of her cottagecore era, is Midnights going to see the start of a dazzling era of embellished dresses?

Her MTV VMAs chandelier dress, and this custom embellished gold sequinned gown seems to say so.

My first thought was that this feels a little OTT for an event that was ‘In Conversation
,” but this wasn’t held during Paleyfest where the looks are more casual, this was held during Toronto Film Festival, where the level of glamour continues to rise to match the glamour we see at other festivals in Europe each year.

I love this for Taylor.  It has a feeling of “let me reintroduce myself.”

I like how her makeup was kept simple to allow the dress to shine (literally), and that this is not another mini dress.

I’m here for it.

What are your thoughts?

Are you ready for what could potentially be an album promotion of nothing but embellished dresses?
