Rebecca Hall is most definitely the most stylish director of the year, but Luca Guadagnino was trying to give the British actress a run for her money at the 2022 Venice Film Festival.

Potentially inspired to up his game thanks to Timothée Chalamet, who he directed in the film ‘Bones & All,’ the Italian’s go-to brand was Loewe.

On Thursday he was spotted arriving at the Excelsior pier wearing a bespoke Loewe white shirt with Bernardo Bertolucci screen print paired with Loewe browline sunglasses and loafers.

Bernardo Bertolucci was considered one of the greatest directors in Italian cinema, so this was a beautiful tribute to make at this festival.

On Friday, he opted for the same shades while wearing a Loewe puffer polo from the Spring 2023 collection paired with denim drawstring trousers.

I’m mildly (strangely) obsessed with his Loewe puffy sneakers here.

For last night’s ‘Bones & All’ premiere, the director was really feeling himself in this bespoke Loewe midnight blue double breasted silk shantung suit styled with and hand painted – what appears to be blood-splattered shirt and a new pair of Loewe mask sunglasses.

This third look took me out. He looks so good.  Papa’s got a brand new bag.
