Gugu Mbatha-Raw Wore Gucci For The Today Show

Gugu Mbatha-Raw made a guest appearance on ‘The Today Show’ on Monday (July 25), where she talked to Hoda and Jenna about her new psychological thriller ‘Surface,’ rediscovering her love of painting during the pandemic and how she forged a friendship with Oprah.

I was surprised that there wasn’t as much love as I expected for her Alexander McQueen dress for the Apple TV+ ‘Surface’ New York premiere, however, I have a feeling that this exquisite Gucci light jade thin strap flower lace midi dress with all-over embroidery detailing will be adored.

I wouldn’t have put Gugu down as a Gucci girl, but it would be impossible not to see why she was drawn to this dress considering how its feminine sensibility is expressed.

The white accessories – especially the shades – added to the cool, summery flare.

I hope we get a chance to see more from Gugu during this prom tour.  She’s due a return to the red carpet in London.
