‘Top Gun: Maverick’ World & Mexico Premieres Menswear Roundup

Tom Cruise, Miles Teller and Danny Ramirez attended both the San Diego and Mexico premieres for ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ this week, while Jay Ellis and Glen Powell only attended the world premiere in San Diego.

Tom Cruise wore a Brioni bespoke navy windowpane three-piece suit for the main event.

He looks very sharp despite just exiting a helicopter, so one can forgive the lack of grooming when it comes to his hair.

He styled his look with American Optical original pilot sunglasses.

Judging by his second look in Mexico, those American Optical sunglasses will be the actor’s go-to accessory for the premieres, which makes sense considering Maverick was known for his aviator shades.

When it comes to Miles Teller’s San Diego and his Mexico premiere looks; they are night and day.

The blue Armani suit styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Alpha Male’ shoes feels very formal, while the brown Givenchy Spring 2022 look feels more contemporary.

Both look great, but I will always lean towards a contemporary look.

This was a global premiere, so Danny Ramirez wanted to put his best foot forward.

The bow tie on his Brunello Cucinelli tailored look took this into awards season territory.

For the Mexico premiere things loosen up, yet he still looked impeccably sharp in Dolce & Gabbana.

I much preferred the second outing.

Lewis Pullman wore a Richard James pale blue summery suit which saw him channel a western vibe thanks to his bolo tie and Christian Louboutin ‘Cortino’ beige suede boots.

Jay Ellis was also feeling blue in this Alexander McQueen suit.  I love the military dog tag necklace which was a subtle nod to the film.

Saving the best until last, Glen Powell – who also rocked aviators on the red carpet – reminds me how lush shades of green and brown can be in his Valentino look especially designed for him by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

Christian Louboutin ‘Samson’ boots completed his look.
