Prada @ The 2022 Met Gala

Prada dressed Alton Mason, Kendall Jenner, Kacey Musgraves, Olivia DeJonge and Austin Butler for the 2022 Met Gala held in New York City on Monday (May 2).

Alton Mason blew me away wearing this custom Prada embroidered black cape.

There is more to this look than just the cape, but it’s the most memorising part of this look, along with those cheekbones.

The blonde eyebrow trend isn’t really working for Kendall Jenner here. 

Thankfully she wore a gorgeous custom Prada embellished top and ruffled ball skirt to distract us.

When I saw Kelvin Harrison Jr. I immediately detected a theme.

Some might wish that Alton had worn a full sparkling number (as he’s not shy when it comes to rocking a fully embellished suit), but I like how both gents pulled off their looks with solid pieces.

However, I’m not 100% sold on Kelvin’s tie.

Kacey Musgraves ALWAYS understands the assignment.

The Country singer served up the gilded glamour theme on an embellished silver platter wearing this custom Prada keyhole dress.

When asked about gilded glamour on the red carpet she said, “gilded,’ I think of studded, obviously.”

Her styling also helps sell the theme.

Australia actress Olivia DeJonge proved that a train and a bow can amplify the simplest of silhouettes, along with multitude of embellishments.

It appears that Austin Butler did want to join the rhinestone gang, as he opted to play it safe in this sleek custom Prada look.
