Beyonce Wore Valentino Haute Couture To The 2022 Oscars

Beyonce blessed the 2022 Oscars with her presence for the first time since 2009, and she didn’t let her fans down, as she gave an amazing performance of her Oscar-nominated song ‘Be Alive.’

As we would expect, the red carpet shy singer delivered one of her most dramatic looks to date wearing a Valentino Haute Couture cape and dress especially designed for her by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

I can be quite critical of Beyonce’s style because – like Megan The Stallion – I often feel that her style doesn’t match the magnitude of the woman, or her stature, but damn did she deliver on this occasion.

It’s rare that I’m left in awe of Beyonce’s red carpet (or in this case Instagram) style, but her team nailed it on this occasion.

The fit, the colour, and how despite the simplicity of the design it packs an almighty punch.

I even love the matching opera gloves.

She accessorised with chandelier diamond earrings, bright yellow Valentino Garavani ‘Tan-Go’ platform heels, and a tennis ball-shaped from Judith Leiber, nodding to the ‘King Richard’ film about tennis champions Venus and Serena Williams’s father.

This is an Oscar-worthy gown if I ever saw one, and an iconic moment for the singer.

I’m placing this in Beyonce’s hall of fame.  It might even be number one.

OOps. I was so in awe of Beyonce, that I totally forgot to comment on Jay-Z.

The rapper always looks very sharp, and this event was so exception. His Gucci suit was beautifully accented with the Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger® Bird on a Rock brooch.
