Bottega Veneta Soho Opening

Bottega Veneta celebrated their first Soho store at 101 Greene Street followed by an intimate dinner at Saint Theo’s on Thursday (December 9) in New York City.

Having worn some Bottega Veneta pieces during the height of lockdown, I wasn’t surprised to see Tracee Ellis Ross as her feather jumpsuit broke the internet.

On this occasion she opted for something festive, wearing a Bottega Veneta sequinned turtleneck gown featuring an open back from the Fall 2020 collection.

I would’ve preferred a smaller Bottega Veneta clutch, but Tracee always goes big, so I can really have no complaints here.

If you’re having a case of déjà vu, that’s because Kylie Jenner wore this same dress almost a year ago, while celebrating the Holidays with her family.

Bottega Veneta Fall 2020

Speaking of déjà vu, that same feather jumpsuit that Tracee Ellis Ross wore earlier this year, was also worn by Lil Kim.

In this case we got the benefit from seeing the look on someone standing and with styling.

I can’t say I’m a fan of the belt with this look, but judging by Kim’s previous look, she loves to wear this style of belt when rocking her Bottega feathered pieces.

Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2021

I used to be really excited about Tommy Dorfman’s style, but they have lost their edge.

When I saw them in this bottle green Bottega Veneta Resort 2022 boiler suit, my first reaction was they can do so much better.  This feels lazy by their standards.

Indira Scott wore a Bottega Veneta bottle green paillette dress from the Pre-Fall 2021 collection which hasn’t – to my knowledge – been worn before.

I love the eclectic head-piece and the white boots, but the black Bottega bag didn’t work with the rest of the look for me.

Selah Marley’s dress version of the Bottega Veneta Resort 2022 boiler suit was pressed and styled with matching, fun accessories.

This is the same energy I would’ve expected from Tommy.
