Rachel Zegler Wore Elie Saab Haute Couture To The ‘West Side Story’ LA Premiere

Rachel Zegler was back on the red carpet for the LA premiere of Disney Studios’ ‘West Side Story,’ held at El Capitan Theatre on Tuesday (December 7) in California.

You were largely underwhelmed by her Dior gown worn to the New York premiere, but I have a feeling that this Elie Saab Fall 2021 Haute Couture pearl white, ball gown will be more received more favourably.

Mostly because this is probably the gown most of us would’ve picked for Rachel for the world premiere.

It has the regal, royal gala, world stage feel about it.  Like most Elie Saab Haute Couture creations.

It’s also very much a Disney gown.  And with that in mind, my first thought when I saw Rachel in this gown was that it gave me the same warm fuzzy feeling that I got from Lily James’ Elie Saab ‘Cinderella’ gown.

And most importantly the colour is far more flattering to her skin tone.

I personally loved the ashy-pink Dior, but I don’t think the colour photographed well.

This pearl white gown was radiant especially with the mother of pearl sequins embroidery.
