4th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema and Television Red Carpet Roundup

Tessa Thompson and Halle Berry were joined by a host of other celebrities on the red carpet for 4th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema and Television held at the Fairmont Century Plaza on Monday (December 6) in Los Angeles, California.
āPassingā star Ruth Negga was giving me heart palpitations in this Duro Olowu Spring 2022 three-piece suit.
The African inspired print is so fun and festive.Ā Then factor in the styling which included a red clutch, and white Kate Spade pumps, along with the green accent braided into her hair and this was a pitch perfect look from head-to-toe.
This was one of my favourites at this event along with her co-star Tessa Thompson.

Jennifer Hudson was not to be missed in her colour block statement knit dress, which should be instantly recognisable to you as a Victor Glemaud look, as this is very much his signature.
After a year of ball gowns, Jennifer is clearly looking to explore new silhouettes.

There was more colour blocking via Taraji P. Henson.Ā The satin hem gives her version a dressier feel in comparison to Jenniferās.

As you know I have been a strong advocate of Ava DuVernay stepping out of her favoured silhouette.
But when it comes to this Marcell Von Berlin suit, I wish the trousers fit her better.
I love the nipped in waist, but the trousers arenāt so flattering, and the fact that they had been lengthened needed to be less obvious.
A L’AFHSAR clutch and David Yurman jewels completed her look.

Ava wasnāt the only female director on this red carpet as Rebecca Hall was also in attendance withĀ āPassingā actresses Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga.
Rebecca was looking as chic as ever wearing a Dior Resort 2022 white wool embroidered jacket, white silk pleated skirt and nude J’adior shoes.

I finally got to see āKing Richardā this weekend and it is one of my favourite films of the year. I highly recommend it as it is so inspiring and heart-warming.
Demi Singleton, who plays Serena Williams in the film, wore a vibrant Versace Resort 2022 blue brocade skirt suit trimmed with fringed hems.
The matching eye makeup was a playful touch for the 14-year-old, but some feel that it may not have been needed considering how bold this look is.

Saniyya Sidney, who plays Venus Williams in āKing Richardā went in the opposite direction colour-wise wearing a black Nicole + Felicia Couture dress which is injected with plenty of personality thanks to the cute white bow. Ā

Robin Thede stood out in this gorgeous Solace London purple strapless dress, with the Jimmy Choo āThyraā bow accented sandals.

Niecy NashĀ is always a 10.
A 10 for bringing the drama and always wearing a look which highlights her gorgeous curves.Ā
On this occasion she wore an Anthony Elle creation.

Danielle Brooks wore a simple yet gorgeous Norma Kamali dress with Badgley Mischka embellished sandals.

Patina MillerĀ elevated her Alexander McQueen suit with gold cuff and other gold accessories from Elsa Peretti.
