‘King Richard’ LA Premiere Red Carpet Roundup
It was very much a family affair as the Smiths joined the Williams sisters on the red carpet for the 2021 AFI Fest closing night premiere of Warner Bros. ‘King Richard’ held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Sunday (November 14) in Hollywood, California.
Willow Smith and Jaden Smith both wore looks from MSFTSrep Fall 2021 collection, which is Jaden’s contemporary streetwear line that focuses on three key looks: a tailored suit, snowsuit and hoodie.
While Willow wore the most colourful look, I’m loving the impact of the full printed suit on Jaden.
It’s amazing how facial hair – in Will Smith’s case the removal of – can completely change the way a person looks.
The actor was almost unrecognisable without this moustache which I’ve known him to have since the ‘90s.
Will wore a Dolce & Gabbana blue three-piece suit with silk geometric print shirt and tie which injected plenty of personality into this look.
Jada Pinkett Smith was a vision in Vivienne Westwood.
Some might not like how the neckline and train are in a contrasted colour and fabric, but I’m glad that it prevents this from looking/feeling too bridal, as this dress does hail from the designers Bridal 2021 collection.
Demi Singleton – who plays a young Serena Williams – wore a Chanel Resort 2022 look.
A black velvet dress will always be a timeless choice, so I’m glad she kept the runway styling – cape, fishnet tights and white boots – to ensure this look kept its playful energy.
Saniyya Sidney – who plays a young Venus Williams – opted to wear a beige tulle Dolce & Gabbana dress which we’ve seen many times before, but it will never not be charming to me.
