Gucci @ The 2021 LACMA Art+Film Gala
The 2021 LACMA Art+Film Gala red carpet featured many more celebrities dressed in Gucci on Saturday (November 6) in California.
So let me get this straight, Salma Hayek wore that droopy Saint Laurent dress during the âEternalsâ London premiere, and saved her best Gucci frock for this event?
Well, I guess it makes sense to look her very best at event she was essentially co-hosting with her husband, but I want the same energy for all her events.
She continues to be frustratingly inconsistent for me.
Olivia Wilde is something of a veteran at the LACMA Art+Film Gala, having attended the inaugural event back in 2011.
On that occasion she only opted for a touch of embellishment.  On Saturday she was dazzling from head-to-toe in this Gucci look.
I was surprised it wasn’t one of Gucci retro styles, which would’ve been very much on brand for her.
This is a great Gucci look for Sienna Miller, who could also so easily done that ’70s thing.
But I high-key wish Miley Cyrus had worn this. That might have a lot to do with the fact that she looks like Miley here.
This was so close to being a great Gucci look for Billie Eilish.Â
I have no problem with the bra. I just wish it was black.
This is bound to be an unpopular opinion, but I really like this Gucci look on Awkwafina.
After a succession of suits during her promo tour for âShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,â I’m excited to see her having fun with fashion again, and this was the event which where she probably felt more free to be creative.
Am I alone in wishing that Tracee Ellis Ross opted not to wear the fringe coat with the sequin Gucci suit?
My favourite part of this look is actually her turquoise Lisa Eisner earrings.
Feathers were clearly on-trend for the night as Serena Williams styled her Gucci dress with less flamboyant feather sleeve than we saw on Jodie Turner-Smith.
This is much improved over her ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ outing.
I don’t think I would be far off to say that Anjelica Huston was one of the best dressed in Gucci at this event.
Those of you not into the maximalist designs of Alessandro Michele would agree.
This is a gorgeous colour for Florence Welch. She usually veers towards more earthy tones, so this feels really refreshing.
The panel that sits on her skirt feels like it could’ve edited out, but all-in-all this Gucci gown is a very true to her style.
I didn’t quite get this Gucci look on Dove Cameron. It feels too twee for her.
Celeste has been team Gucci for quite some time. This mint green Gucci dress fit her neo-soul style to a tee.
Diane Keaton was one of many who opted for Gucci sequins. I love the look. It’s so on brand for her.
I have been racking my brain all day when it comes to Suki Waterhouse’s Gucci Fall 2021 dress, as I’m sure we’ve seen this on the red carpet before.
It feels like a Rita Ora or a Sienna Miller look, but neither have worn this look.
