Chloe x Halle Bailey Attend The 2021 MTV VMAs Wearing Marni & Mônot

Chloe and Halle Bailey were back on the red carpet for 2021 MTV Video Music Awards held at Barclays Center on Sunday (September 12) in New York City.

I was just saying last week how the sisters are always in sync when it comes to their red carpet style.

They usually wear the same designer, a look that features the same print, or one will go short, while the other will go long.

On this occasion they were polar opposite.  And I think this has a lot to do with this being Chloe’s first major performance, so she was presenting herself as a solo singer, and not part of a duo, which makes perfect sense to me.

Chloe opted for a futuristic look from Marni’s Fall 2021 collection.

If tin-foil equals futuristic I can hear some of you saying. 

As a duo they have always been very experimental with fashion, so Chloe running with this aesthetic doesn’t surprise me.

But I was surprised by Halle. 

Wearing a Mônot Fall 2021 white cut-out dress, it was a lot more revealing than I expected from the Disney star, but this is the VMAs.

The modifications were a HUGE improvement on the dress, as it kinda just hangs off the model.
