Lupita Nyong’o Wore Studio 189 For The ‘Gram

Posted by Catherine Kallon Comments

Where has Lupita Nyong’o been?

Busy working on ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ (a fitting title).

Filming started earlier this year following the pandemic, and production was also put on hold following the tragic news of the death of Chadwick Boseman.

In a series of Instagram pictures today, the actress captioned the post, “Back in the saddle.”

Time away hasn’t dulled her colourful senses, as she showcased the traditional craftsmanship techniques of Studio 189, a New York based, African-led label co-founded by Rosario Dawson and Abrima Erwiah.

This shirt and skirt were crafted using natural plant-based dye which injects a carefree vibrancy to the actress’ style of which we are very much accustomed to.

And the colourful mood wasn’t only limited to her dress, as she styled her look with magenta pumps from Marion Parke which added a dose of whimsical to her daytime repertoire.
