FX’s ‘Pose’ Season 3 New York Premiere
The New York premiere for FX’s ‘Pose’ Season 3 took place on Thursday (April 29), with the stars of the hit show out in full force.
Billy Porter: No one will be surprised to see the actor was front and centre wearing this Robert Wun Spring 2021 colourful look enhanced with pleats.
If you’re anything like me, you immediately recognised the designer on account of the pleated bag, as Joey King carried the same bag when she wore a look from the Robert Wun for the 2020 People’s Choice Awards back in November.
As you know I love Billy’s creativity, but this was a little too clownish for me. It feels like it needed stripping back. Ore perhaps it would’ve worked better for me if it was one colour.
Janet Mock: It was glamour all the way for the actress who was positively purring wearing a custom Atelier Versace dress which was crafted from golden metal mesh.
Thanks to Andra Day I’m kinda tapped out on this style of dress this week, but there’s no denying how breath-taking Janet is in this sensual dress.
MJ Rodriguez: The actress and her supermodel legs would look great in anything. Her peach hued Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2020 Haute Couture corset and suspender dress was very much case in point.
Would I have liked this on anyone else? Unlikely. And even though it kinda sits very flat on the chest (as it does on the model), she totally owned this look.
Angel Bismark Curiel: The last time we saw a look from the Lanvin Spring 2021 collection I wasn’t too enamoured, but this playful short set is one of my favourite of this bunch.
Between the coat and the trompe l’oeil bow tie, I’m thoroughly charmed, but I do wish he had time to change his footwear before hitting the red carpet.
Dominique Jackson: I’m sure a rhinestone corset doesn’t need any introduction. This exquisite piece was of course from The Blonds.
After seeing just how fabulous she looked without the shrug on her Instagram Stories, I prefer how the corset looks on its own.
Nonetheless, she brought plenty of glamour to this event.
Angelica Ross: The actress was my least favourite at this event. Had the corset and the illusion panel at the back matched her skin tone, the allure of this silver high slit sequin one sleeve Valdrin Sahiti gown would’ve had a more positive affect on me.
I’m also not a fan of her hair here. It looks a little overcooked in the bleaching process.
Sandra Bernhard: The actress was not to be outdone when it came being decked out with sequins. She was glistening wearing a pretty blue dress from Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2020 collection.
Dyllon Burnside: This was another look I was adoring from the ankles up. The actor was looking very dapper in his Grayscale 4-piece suit.
Aside from the peach hue, I love the smoothness of the shawl collar design, even though I wish the fabric held up better.
Indya Moore: The actress was my favourite overall wearing a Saint Laurent Spring 2021 look which included a brass bust and biker shorts (my favourite).
Her look felt so cool, fresh and modern.
Fabergeì rings completed her look.
