Front Row @ Dior Fall 2021
Christian Dior presented their Fall 2021 runway show on Monday (March 8), and much like their Spring 2021 Haute Couture show, they had a jam-packed digital front row.
Ciara Bravo: I have really enjoyed Ciara’s style during her promo tour for ‘Cherry,’ but I wasn’t drawn to this look. I had nothing to do with her green Dior Spring 2021 green silk dress. It’s more to do with the styling, particularly the hair which ages her. Perhaps I’ve grown too used to her flirting between ’60s and ’70s styles which suit her so well.
Angelababy: This tea-stain colour has never been a favourite of mine, yet this feels like a first for the actress in terms of seeing her in an everyday day style of dress. Usually we only see her in ball gowns. So on account of this being “something new,” I’ll take this Dior Spring 2021 yellow linen dress especially considering how interesting the ‘Dior Jardin’ print is.
Did she need the yellow velvet bustier? Why not? It adds interest along with the Dior belt, a Dior Caro bag.
Yuko Araki: We absolutely loved Yuko at the Haute Couture show. This Dior Pre-Fall 2021 printed red bustier dress doesn’t tell the same beguiling story, yet it’s a very pretty look for this occasion.
Jo Ellen Pellman: After stunning us with a rainbow hued dress for the Golden Globe Awards, ‘The Prom’ actress opted for all black. I have to say I love it. Mostly the leather skirt and the shoes. It’s simple, chic and effective.
Dree Hemingway: The model was one of my favourites at this virtual event wearing a Dior Spring 2021 multi-colour striped dress styled with a Dior D-bubble bag. The colours are so rich, and the boho vibe speaks to her laidback style sensibilities.
Naomi Ackie: Us Brits love a coat that can double up as a dress. Did Naomi’s Dior navy blue cashmere coat need a statement shoe? I think her J’Adior slingback pumps set the right tone to complete this understated look.
Suki Waterhouse: I know that many of you will never be on board with Suki’s style. For me, this was the most true to Dior look at this event. The light grey jacket, which hails from the Pre-Fall 2021 collection is giving me classic 1950s vibe.
While I love the Dior Caro bag, the sandals feel too casual for this look
Araya A. Hargate: As cute as this Dior Spring 2021 jacket paired with a Dior black tulle skirt, Dior D-Lite bag and Dior black leather boots is. I just can’t get past the hair and makeup.
Sasha Luss: Spring has sprung all over Sasha’s Dior Pre-Fall 2021 checkered white and red jacket and Dior embroidered red sequin skirt. Not content with such a colourful outfit, she fully committed with printed Dior accessories.
Agnes Nunes: This Dior Spring 2021 printed two-piece look may have been styled with Dior-ID sneakers, yet it feels just as glam as the rest at this event. A Dior 30 Montaigne blue leather clutch completed her look.
Nataly Yakimchik: In terms of my favourite from this event, Elena and Sasha will have to fight it out, as I can’t pick a clear winner: Between the easy elegance, sheer red blouse and leg lengthening black high-waist trousers, this perhaps the most chic look at this event. A red Dior Caro bag completed her look.
Elena Perminova: Now we all know what we need to dress up a simple white shirt… a Dior black leather harness. Elena styled her look with a Dior D-Lite bag and Dior boots.
Marina Ruy Barbosa: Giving us another luxe boho look, this Dior Spring 2021 lace blouse was also given an edge with a leather harness.
Beatrice Borromeo: Once again Beatrice kinda just faded into the background for me in this Dior Pre-Fall 2021 dress. A Dior Bobby bag and Dior shoes provided the finishing touches.
