Taraji P. Henson Wore Several Looks Hosting The 2020 American Music Awards

Taraji P. Henson hosted the 2020 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (November 22), and as you would expect she presented several eye-catching looks.

Her first was this Giorgio Armani Fall 2020 tunic dress styled with a turban which was also fully embellished.

My first thought was this turban reminded me of Rita Ora at the 2017 EMAs. My second was that I wish she had worn the matching trousers we saw on the runway.

Styled with Tom Ford’s signature padlock shoes, her ode to Eartha Kitt was complete with Tiffany & Co. jewels.

From Eartha Kitt to Diana Ross, the actress was oozing Motown magic wearing a geometric pink black and white bias cut dress from Area’s Fall 2020 collection.

Area is known for their embellished pieces, so in lieu of those details accenting the dress, she completed the look with a breath-taking diamond Gismondi 1754 choker.

I was hugely disappointed by this Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2020 dress.  The colour is beautiful, but I just don’t believe it is doing anything for her.  Perhaps the real issue here is the lack of support.

This Carolina Herrera Resort 2021 gown was my joint favourite along with with Area gown.

Sparkles. Check.  But the sleek design and the drama-filled puffed sleeves drew me in too.

This custom Georges Hobeika tulle creation was one of the more sensual pieces of the night.

Don’t let this picture fool you, there were no nipples on display.  But perhaps the illusion is enough for you to place a strike against this stunning crystal confection.

Roberto Coin For Mayors Jewelry completed her look.

This khaki look probably wouldn’t have got my attention had it not been for the leopard print boots. It kinda feels like something Cookie would wear.

Thoughts?
