Megan Thee Stallion Wore Lever Couture & Area To The 2020 American Music Awards

After dropping her debut studio album ‘Good News’ last week, Megan Thee Stallion attended the 2020 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (November 22), where she picked up the Favourite Song/Rap/Hip Hop for ‘WAP.’

I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting from Megan’s breakthrough moment on the red carpet.

This pink pleated Lever Couture asymmetric dress is a moment, but it is not the moment.  That’s not because she didn’t hit the red carpet.  It’s more to do with the fact that while this dress is pretty, it’s also kinda forgettable.

It’s not Rihanna in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture at the 2015 Grammys, and it’s not Cardi B in Dolce & Gabbana at the 2018 American Music Awards, it’s not JLo in Julien Macdonald at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, to name just three.

To collect her awards she changed into a neon-green mini dress from Area’s Fall 2020 collection.

Again, this is really pretty.  I love the colour against her skin, but I’m still wanting something that matches the magnitude of her star power.

This is what I imagine her wearing on regular Saturday night. This doesn’t read major awards show to me.
