French label Jacquemus released its new Spring 2020 campaign starring model Bella Hadid in images that were shot entirely via FaceTime, which given the current climate, isn’t really that much of a surprise.
As the old saying goes, “the show must go on.”
The series of images were captured by French photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti and creative-directed by Jacquemus designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.
Who was on set?
Aside from the photographer and designer, there were no stylists; hair or makeup artists involved in the shoot…just Bella and an iPhone.
The campaign is aptly titled “Jacquemus at home,” and features Bella wearing just a bag.
Thankfully not the designers famed Le Petit Chiquito bag (which might only be able to fit a single sweet or a penny inside).
She was also captures in a a selection of knit bodysuits, tank tops, a super chic white suit, and an array of accessories including their Les Lunettes Soleil sunglasses and the brands seaside-ready Le Panier Soleil raffia tote.
“Best few hours… reconnecting,” Bella captioned her Instagram post, which sounds like she enjoyed being back at work..albeit remotely.
Personally I think this is genius.
Bella is one of those models who has forged a modelling career with the help of social media, and the essence of this shoot is very much “bored in the house, and I’m in the house bored”, so I’ll shoot a selection of pictures for the gram.
Unfiltered and refreshing.
What are your thoughts on this campaign?
