Christian Louboutin Celebrates The Opening Of L’Exhibition[niste]

Ahead of today’s public debut, the Christian Louboutin L’Exhibition[niste] exhibit opened its doors to select celebrity guests at the Palais de la Porte Dorée Museum, for a cocktail party and private dinner on Monday (February 24) in Paris.

This marks the largest ever exhibit showcasing Louboutin’s work, spanning over a variety of verticals outside of just footwear, and also the first exhibit in his hometown of Paris, France.

Dita von Teese:  With her signature hair and makeup firmly in check, the burlesque star took a night off wearing all black, selecting a heather blue dress from Elie Saab’s Spring 2020 Haute Couture collection.

Some might be worried about the placements of the sheer inserts, but I can assure you that a nude lining prevents anything from being revealed, plus I think the embellishments, along with her Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ Pewter strass d’orsay pumps and pearl satin Christian Louboutin ‘Palmette’ clutch, gave this look a very decadent feel.

Janelle Monae:  Unlike Dita, Janelle stuck to her trusted colour palette wearing a tuxedo from Ralph Lauren Collection.  As you would expect, the accessories prevent this from feeling too ordinary, with the highlight being her black and red striped Christian Louboutin ‘Gael Strass’ suede boots. Atelier Swaroviski jewels completed her look.

Karlie Kloss:  The model is the queen of keeping things simple, which she did in this Helmut Lang mock neck ribbed dress. Regarding her footwear, Karlie kept things classic with white patent leather Christian Louboutin ‘Clare Sling’ sling back pumps.

Sabrina Elba:  When it comes to this sage Roland Mouret Spring 2020 suit, I love the Valens trousers – again, Victoria Beckham should take note – but I’m not a fan of the belt she added to the Gilory blazer.  It feels a bit sloppy and unnecessary here.
