Kerry Washington Dons David Koma For The 2019 British Academy Britannia Awards

Kerry Washington joined Lupita Nyong’o, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Thomasin McKenzie on the red carpet for the 2019 British Academy Britannia Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Friday (October 25) in California.

For Fall 2019, David Koma referenced Shakespearean plays and the exuberance of Edwardian dressing as his inspiration.

This velvet dress, showcases the designer’s penchant for structure (just look at that hourglass shape) and is adorned with a faux pearls and reflective adornments.

With so much to look at, all Kerry needed was a pair of simple black Jimmy Choo heels to really make an entrance.

I’m really surprised at this edgy look from Kerry, but she more than pulls it off with the sleek lob and dark cherry lip.
