Laverne Cox In Monsoori – 2019 Emmy Awards

Laverne Cox went big for the 2019 Emmy Awards this evening (September 22) where she is nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for ‘Orange is the New Black.’

With this being the final season of the show, her Monsoori dress ensures the period will end dramatically with its array of feathers and frills. Even with the muted colours, it’s a fun piece.

She carried an Edie Parker bag. It read ‘Oct. 8 Title VII Supreme Court’ which references the forthcoming meeting when the U.S. Supreme Court will hear whether the act, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, applies to cases based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
