Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a special reunion with Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and Queen Letizia of Spain as the royals attended the Order of the Garter service in Windsor today (June 17) in England.
The ladies were supporting their husbands, who are members of the Order – William as a senior British royal, and King Willem-Alexander and King Felipe as Knights of the Garter, alongside Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex: The royal embraced the summer season in a Suzannah dress and Jane Taylor hat.
Queen Letizia of Spain: Supporting local talent, the Queen showcased her sartorial prowess wearing an elegant long-sleeved dress by Spanish brand Cherubina for the occasion, covered in a delicate dotted pattern which was styled with a black hat and Manolo Blahnik pumps. I love the look for its high levels of chic appeal, but I wish she stood out more here.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall: She looked pretty in a pale pink Anna Valentine coat dress with a Philip Treacy hat.
Queen Maxima of the Netherlands: Cape dresses are nothing new, but the Queen stole my heart in this custom Claes Iversen dress style with matching accessorise including a gorgeous fascinator, Bottega Veneta clutch and Gianvito Rossi pumps. This look was by far my favourite. To me, the most regal of the royals.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge: The Duchess held her own channelling her inner Audrey Hepburn in ‘My Fair Lady’ wearing a black and white Catherine Walker coat with all black accessories including a hat by Lock & Co. I would not expect a modern look on this, but I do appreciate how fresh this feels. If I had my way, I would’ve swapped her look with Queen Maxima.
